Job summary

Amey is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Consulting Structures Team in the Midlands, with hybrid working and shared offices in Nottingham, Birmingham and Telford. The role leads design teams on bridges schemes, mentoring juniors and delivering schemes from quotation to handover.

We welcome applicants from across the Nottingham, Birmingham and Telford regions with strong bridges/highways experience and Chartered status or equivalent work readiness.

Qualifications

• Developed experience in Bridges/Highways structures.
• Produce or oversee designs meeting relevant standards and client requirements.
• Chartered status desirable; degree in civil/structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to produce technically sound engineering solutions.
• Take ownership of projects from quotation to handover.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and scheme deliverables.
• Oversee junior staff and mentor team members.
• Contribute to bid preparation and risk management.
