Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Senior Engineer to join our Consulting Structures Team. The role is hybrid with shared office space across Nottingham, Birmingham and Telford, and applications from Bridge Engineers across those regions.

You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and work with the Design Team Leader to deliver technically sound solutions for major infrastructure schemes within a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Bridges/Highways Structures field.
• Ability to produce/oversee technically sound deliverables.
• Knowledge of CDM and risk assessment.
• Experience in team management and interfacing with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to producing technically sound engineering solutions.
• Take ownership and lead projects from start to finish, from quotation to handover.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Oversee junior staff and mentor on project tasks.
• Liaise with client and supplier representatives and attend progress meetings.
• Contribute to bids and general work winning activities.
• Drive health and safety practices within the team.
