KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Brand Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of brand objectives including net / retail sales, operating profit, market rank / share, and category objectives, whist working in accordance with brand guidelines.
Working in partnership with the Brand Cluster VP / GM and with their team, this role will be instrumental in shaping the evolution of the brand and will be required to establish clear brand positioning across all channels and protect brand equity at all times.
- Working closely with the Vice President / General Manager to set strategic priorities for the brand, identify and establish how to maximise opportunities to drive the business by engaging key consumer target groups by category and by channel, striving for an omni-channel approach.
- Ownership of the brand P&L, driving sales and performance through your teams across Online, Marketing and Sales.
- Leading the creation and implementation of the regional brand Marketing & Consumer Engagement Strategy that supports the achievement of brand objectives including net / retail sales, operating profit, market rank / share, and category objectives, all in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Leading team to ensure growth, set priorities, and maintain consistent performance standards.
- Partnering with Global teams to initiate and develop regionally relevant programs, assets, and product development based on regional insights.
- Overseeing the alignment of the marketing calendar and consumer engagement activities across all media (non-digital and digital), influencer relationships, communications, CRM, new product innovation, promotions, events, and retailer programs.
- Partnering with Brand Sales Directors and Retail Teamsto achieve sales results. This involves collaborating closely with retail teams to ensure that sales strategies are effectively implemented and that sales targets are met.
- Lead and maintain a fully activated ecosystem that prioritises a salon-first approach, ensuring we recruit new guests, strengthen long-term engagement, and build a thriving community of hairdresser advocates. This role is responsible for unlocking the power of salon growth by driving education, brand affinity, and service excellence, while also ensuring replenishment and business development across the full channel mix.
- Develop, nurture, and grow strong relationships with key salons across the UK, establishing a dynamic, influential network that elevates brand presence, supports commercial objectives, and fosters collaboration. This includes ensuring active participation in key industry events, maintaining a deep understanding of independent salon business models, and leveraging these insights to shape strategy, identify opportunities, and accelerate market growth.
- Aligning inventory demand and retail sales plans through accurate forecasting, approving all pricing and line edit recommendations with strategic insight in line with the brand’s objectives.
- Managing the strategic budget, applying zero-based budgeting to develop programs in line with strategic imperatives, and managing the ongoing allocation of budget expenses to match objectives with appropriate resources.
- Managing relationships with stakeholders in various functions, the field, retailers, and external suppliers.
- Responsible for ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest market developments, analyzing consumer behavior, and leveraging these insights to inform strategic decisions and drive brand growth.

- Proven track record in advertising, brand experience, communications, leadership, and team development skills to provide maximum team performance.
- Proven leadership experience, leading teams across different functions, identifying development opportunities and empowering your teams.
- Strong brand building experience, ideally across different categories / types of consumers / brands
- Ability to demonstrate a strategic and consumer-centric approach focusing on innovation, and omni-channel consumer experience.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to solve unstructured problems with structure and a hypothesis-driven approach.
- Ability to identify and react to upcoming trends quickly
- Strong functional expertise in consumer goods and / or retail.
- Strong change and people leadership skills, track record of successful change execution, and an exemplary track record in consumer satisfaction.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, able to convey strategies and programs effectively to various audiences.
