We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group on a 12 month fixed term contract as a Brand Manager.

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

Location: This role could be based in either our Edinburgh or London offices with time spent working in the office and at home.

Salary and benefits: Up to £55,000 depending on experience, plus an indicative bonus range of 16-32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Brand Manager with a passion for brand and visual identity development and design to join us on a 12 month FTC at a really exciting time for the Standard Life brand.

Reporting to the Head of Brand, the Brand Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the Standard Life brand. They will represent the brand in projects across the business, outlining how the brand can and will be used, aligned with our brand strategy. They will engage and influence stakeholders through clear and articulate communication, and be a great team player, working as part of a supportive team culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and embed brand positioning, guidelines and assets for internal and external activity which effectively bring the brand to life, including delivering brand training and managing photoshoots where required.
  • Provide daily brand consultancy and manage the brand team mailbox, providing a triage service to stakeholders and their agencies to ensure the correct application of the brand.
  • Use insight to develop our brand and guidelines in line with changing needs of our internal and external customers.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
  • A passion for brand, design and visual identity management, with confidence to develop and manage key brand assets such as logos, font, colours and imagery.
  • Experience in creating and rolling out brand visual identity guidelines, as well as tone of voice development and implementation.
  • Experience with leading and managing internal stakeholders and external agency resource.
  • Confident in giving brand guidance and direction to marketing, digital and internal comms teams, design agencies and production companies (photographers, illustrators, film production), to help shape content in line with the brand.
  • Experience in brand transition projects and visual identity management in a complex corporate environment.
Desirable
  • Experience in developing and applying brand strategy.
