Job summary

LKQ Europe in Wirral is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to lead the branch across retail, warehouse and fleet operations. You will coach and develop colleagues, drive operational excellence and deliver a best-in-class customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage stock, safety, and performance metrics while supporting growth initiatives and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. A hands-on leader with strong communication skills will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous supervisory/management experience in retail, warehouse, logistics, or distribution.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience managing KPIs and operational performance.
• Customer-focused mindset with drive to deliver service.
• Knowledge of stock control and operational processes.
• Commercial awareness and ability to influence business performance.
• Comfort with operational systems and reporting tools; adaptable under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day branch operation across retail, warehouse and fleet.
• Coordinate resources for efficient operations and service.
• Maintain safety, standards, policies and procedures.
• Manage stock accuracy, inventory, stock takes.
• Ensure pick-to-manifest targets and customer service SLAs are met.
• Oversee returns, warranties and reverse logistics.
• Support Click & Collect and delivery operations.
• Ensure fleet compliance and vehicle readiness.
• Coach, motivate and develop colleagues.
• Recruitment, onboarding and succession planning.
• Foster an inclusive, customer-focused culture.
• Drive branch sales, profit and margin targets.
• Monitor costs, payroll and productivity.
• Maintain cash handling and stock control procedures.
• Use KPIs/data for continuous improvement.
• Promote safety-first culture and compliance.
