Job summary

LKQ Europe in Lowestoft is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our branch leadership team. You will oversee day-to-day operations across retail, warehouse and fleet, delivering outstanding service and driving performance.

You will coach and develop colleagues, manage stock and KPI performance, and ensure safety and compliance while building a customer-first culture throughout the branch. This role offers a varied, fast-paced environment with opportunities for career progression across

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a people leader in retail, warehouse, logistics or distribution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop teams.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience managing KPIs and operational performance.
• Customer-focused mindset with drive to deliver outstanding service.
• Knowledge of stock control and operational processes.
• Commercial awareness with ability to influence business performance.
• Experience with fleet operations or inventory management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day branch operations across retail, warehouse and fleet.
• Coordinate resources to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality service.
• Maintain company standards, policies and procedures.
• Manage stock accuracy, inventory control and stock takes.
• Ensure customer service SLAs and pick-to-manifest targets are met.
• Oversee returns, warranties and reverse logistics.
• Support Click & Collect and delivery operations.
• Ensure fleet readiness and vehicle compliance.
• Coach, motivate and develop colleagues.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding and succession planning.
• Promote a customer-first culture and resolve queries efficiently.
• Monitor costs, payroll and productivity.
• Maintain cash handling and stock controls.
• Ensure safety and compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
