Job summary

mydentist is seeking a Practice Manager for their Cowick Street, Exeter location on a 12-month maternity cover. You will lead a well-established team across a 4-surgery practice, with parking and a central location.

The role involves driving performance, managing budgets, and maintaining high patient care standards. The package includes a salary up to £35,000 depending on experience, 25–30 days holiday (plus bank holidays), an annual bonus, and health and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Retail or healthcare management experience is preferred.
• A clinical background or knowledge would be beneficial.
• Strong team management and a patient/customer focus is important.

Responsibilities

• Drive practice performance with set objectives, including patient care and financial targets.
• Lead practice support staff and engage with clinicians while managing the contractual relationship.
• Ensure compliance with regulators and interpret financial data to inform decisions.
• Manage budgets and contribute to strategic improvements for the practice.

Your future, your role

As a Practice Manager, you’ll be:

• Driving your practice’s performance with set objectives, including prov@iding outstanding patient care, meeting financial targets, and managing budgets
• Leading a team of practice support employees, including dental nurses and receptionists, and engaging with clinicians whilst you manage the contractual relationship
• Managing compliance and meeting the requirements of our regulators
• Interpreting financial data including profit and loss accounts to make commercial decisions
