Job summary

mydentist in Andover is seeking a Practice Manager to lead a mixed NHS and Private Practice with 6 surgeries and a friendly, supportive team.

You’ll drive performance against set objectives, manage budgets and KPIs, supervise dental nurses and receptionists, and coordinate with self-employed clinicians while maintaining regulatory compliance and patient care quality.

Qualifications

• Management experience including people management and P&L control.
• Background in management across retail, healthcare or hospitality.
• Experience driving KPIs and increasing profit margins.

Your future, your role

As a Practice Manager, you’ll be:

• Driving your practice’s performance with set objectives, including providing outstanding patient care, meeting financial targets, and managing budgets

• Leading a team of practice support employees, including dental nurses and receptionists, and engaging with self-employed clinicians whilst you manage the contractual relationship

• Managing compliance and meeting the requirements of our regulators

• Interpreting financial data including profit and loss accounts to make commercial decisions

Experience:

• Management experience, including People management and managing P & L
• Open to all Management backgrounds such as retail, healthcare and hospitality
• Experience in driving KPI’s and increasing profit margins

Skills/Person Specification:

• Excellent interpersonal skills to manage key stakeholder relationships
• Excellent organisational skills including prioritising important deadlines whilst managing reactive business needs
• Business acumen – analyse data including profit and loss account to make problem solving commercial decisions
• Demonstrates the ability to lead a team, coach and develop people
