Job summary

Skipton Building Society in Harrogate and Wetherby is recruiting a Customer Relationship Consultant on a 12 month fixed term contract, full time (36 hours per week). You will engage with customers to understand their financial goals, present our savings range and services, and conduct My Review appointments to tailor solutions.

You will be the friendly face and voice for customers, meeting them face to face, virtually or by phone, while building knowledge to help them achieve longer-term

Qualifications

• Previous experience interacting with customers, including face-to-face or phone interactions.
• Background in banks/building societies or related financial services is acceptable.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, or health/care sectors acceptable with a passion for excellent service.
• Strong communication and influencing skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Engage, understand and identify customer needs, tailoring solutions to their circumstances.
• Act as the first point of contact in branch with enthusiasm and a desire to help customers.
• Conduct My Review appointments face to face, virtually or by telephone.
• Proactively contact customers by phone to discuss needs and opportunities.
• Educate customers on products and channels available to engage with us.
• Maintain accurate customer records in internal systems and identify vulnerable customers.
• Adhere to policies, standards and controls, supported by training and clear communication.
