Job summary

Nationwide in Margate is seeking a Customer Representative to support customers in branch, over the phone, and online, guiding everyday banking and digital tools to make managing money easier.

You’ll be at the heart of the branch team, delivering exceptional service in person and remotely. This full-time, 35-hour role involves a mix of in-branch and call-based work, with a focus on fair, secure customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Able to explain banking products clearly.
• Comfortable using digital channels and tools.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer trusted, friendly help with their banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately, while keeping customer needs, security and fairness front of mind.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that are right for them, helping them manage their money with confidence.
• Work closely with colleagues in a busy branch environment to deliver excellent customer service, even at peak times.
• Take responsibility for doing things the right way, following processes and escalating concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
• Play a vital role in keeping face-to-face banking meaningful and accessible on the high street, helping customers feel supported and confident.
