Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Customer Representative for its Fareham branch to support customers in person, over the phone and online. You’ll handle everyday transactions, answer queries, and guide customers towards banking services and digital tools, helping them manage their money with confidence.

You’ll be part of a local branch team, with a permanent, full-time role and a 35-hour week across Monday to Saturday, requiring a commute within 45 minutes of Fareham.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service environments is beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Comfort with digital tools and banking products.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs, offering friendly help with their banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately, while prioritising security and fairness.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that fit their needs and help them manage money confidently.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service, even at busy times.
• Follow processes and escalation paths to protect customers and Nationwide.
