Job summary

Nationwide in Hackney, Greater London, is seeking a Customer Representative to support customers in branch, over the phone and online. The role is permanent, full-time (35 hours/week), with a 45-minute commute requirement and Monday–Saturday work.

You help with everyday transactions, answer queries, and guide customers to digital tools, contributing to a fair, customer-first service on the high street.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service mindset and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using digital banking tools and basic tech.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced branch environment.
• No banking experience required, relevant customer service experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately.
• Guide customers through banking products and services.
• Work with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service especially at peak times.
• Follow processes and escalate issues to protect customers and Nationwide.
