Job summary

Nationwide is hiring a Customer Consultant for our Huddersfield branch. This permanent, full‑time role (35 hours per week, Mon–Sat) focuses on delivering welcoming, expert banking support in‑person, over the phone and online.

You’ll help customers with everyday banking, guide them through digital services, and work with teammates to ensure fair, secure outcomes while maintaining high service standards. Training starts immediately after offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle a range of banking transactions and queries with care and accuracy.
• Comfort with using digital banking tools and services.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to provide trusted, friendly help with banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately while prioritising customer needs, security and fairness.
• Help customers maximise use of digital services, making banking easier and more accessible.
• Guide customers through banking products and services, helping them manage money with confidence.
• Work with colleagues to deliver excellent service, even at peak times.
• Follow processes, spot potential issues, and escalate concerns to protect customers.
