Job summary

Nationwide, a branch-based bank, is seeking a Customer Representative for its Lymington, Hampshire branch. The role is permanent and full-time (35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday).

On closure days (Tuesdays), you will primarily support customers by taking calls on our savings line, while still providing exceptional service for everyday banking and savings inquiries over the phone. You’ll need to reside within a 45-minute commute of the branch.

Qualifications

• Experience or a passion to work in a customer service environment.
• Ability to handle multiple customer interactions and inquiries with calm and professionalism.
• Comfort with using technology and digital banking tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy to support customers.
• Ability to work as part of a high-performing branch team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer trusted help.
• Handle transactions and queries accurately while prioritising security and fairness.
• Guide customers to banking products and services that suit their needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent service, even at peak times.
• Follow processes, spot issues, and escalate concerns when needed to protect customers and Nationwide.
