Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Customer Representative for our Dovercourt, Essex branch. The role is full-time (35 hours per week) and involves welcoming customers in-branch, answering queries, and guiding them towards banking services and digital tools.

You will support customers in person, by phone and online, with a focus on delivering exceptional service. The position supports a multi-skilled branch environment with paid training and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is helpful, but banking experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer friendly help with banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately, prioritising customer needs, security and fairness.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that are right for them, helping them manage their money with confidence.
• Work closely with colleagues in a busy branch environment to deliver excellent customer service, even at peak times.
• Follow processes, spot potential issues, and escalate concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
• Keep face-to-face banking meaningful and accessible on the high street, making customers feel supported and valued.
