Job summary

Nationwide in Rayleigh, Essex, is seeking a Customer Representative to deliver excellent in-branch, phone, and online support. You will handle everyday banking moments, guide customers to suitable products, and maintain high standards of service across a busy branch.

The role is permanent, full-time (35 hours per week, Mon–Sat), with a 45-minute commute requirement from the branch. Training spans the first three weeks with no holidays during that period.

Qualifications

• Experience or a passion to work in a customer service environment helps you thrive.
• Patience, empathy and strong people skills to understand customers' banking needs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer trusted, friendly help with banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately, while keeping customer needs, security and fairness front of mind.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that are right for them, helping them manage their money with confidence.
• Work closely with colleagues in a busy branch to deliver excellent customer service, even at peak times.
• Take ownership to do things the right way by following processes, spotting issues and escalating concerns when needed.
