Job Summary

Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club is a Jacobean‑style manor house set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside in Ware, Hertfordshire. We are looking for a passionate Guest Experience Expert Receptionist to join our team as a full‑time, permanent employee. The role is designed to build unforgettable guest experiences through smooth check‑ins, check‑outs, and overall service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process guest check‑ins, assign rooms, and activate room keys.
  • Co‑ordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms and report any guest concerns.
  • Answer, respond to, and process all guest calls, messages, questions or concerns.
  • Provide guests with information and directions regarding the property and local areas of interest.
  • Process check‑outs and resolve any disputed charges.
  • Process payments and room charges, and cash guests' personal and traveller’s cheques.
  • Confirm reservations and cancellations, running daily reports on arrivals and departures.
  • Direct and work with associates to ensure guestrooms, public spaces and associate areas are clean and well maintained.
  • Complete inspections and hold people accountable for corrective action.
  • Assist in ensuring guest and associate satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
  • Oversee Housekeeping in a complex hotel operation on a Grade 2 listed building.
