Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a UK accountancy firm is required.
  • Knowledge of accounting software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records, managing accounts payable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
  • Communicate with clients for document requests.
  • Perform day-to-day bank and ledger reconciliations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Preparation of Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Communication with clients, to request documents and statements
  • Performing day-to-day bank and ledger reconciliations
Requirements
  • Will need previous experience within a UK accountancy firm.
  • Knowledge of various software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, is an advantage
