Job summary

Speedy Group in Birmingham is seeking a Hire Desk Controller to join the depot-based team. You will manage orders, coordinate deliveries and collections, and work closely with stock, drivers and engineers to meet customer service standards.

The role is desk-based, Monday to Friday, with a focus on strong organisation and clear communication to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills both verbally & written.
• Adaptability to changing needs.
• Commitment to learn and develop within the role.
• Driving licence is required.
• Previous experience in hire or similar sales/operational role.
• Ability to support ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the entire hire process from taking the order to delivery and collection.
• Liaise with stock, drivers and engineers to meet customer needs.
• Work desk-based and collaborate with other departments to reduce delays.
