Job summary

Speedy Hire PLC in the UK is seeking a Hire Controller to manage the complete hire process from order intake through delivery and return. You will liaise with depot teams to ensure customer needs are met and service levels are maintained, while staying desk-based and coordinating with stock, drivers and engineers to minimise delays.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, adaptability, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hire industry or similar sales/operational role.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Adaptable and quick to learn.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Based in the depot, coordinates the entire hire process from order taking to delivery and collection, liaising with all depot parts to meet customer needs.
• Desk-based role with regular liaison across stock teams, drivers and engineers to minimise delays and ensure equipment availability.
