Immunocore, based in Oxford, seeks a Senior Scientist I to advance protein characterisation for biologics and TCR-based therapies. You will develop and apply LC-MS/MS and peptide mapping to characterise drug substances, including post-translational modifications, ensuring robust analytical methods in GMP-adjacent settings.

You will lead experiments, share knowledge across teams, and contribute to study reports, with opportunities to mentor colleagues and shape project direction.

Qualifications

• Experience in development of HPLC based peptide mapping methods and mass spectrometric characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Experience of glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Experienced in the characterisation of proteins expressed in both microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications in biological systems.

Responsabilités

• Designing and carrying out biochemical characterisation, chemical stability and comparability studies of biologics/drug products.
• Independently testing and leading lines of investigation; proposing new experiments.
• Supporting development of characterisation methods for ImmTAX and other products (peptide mapping, intact mass analysis).
• Contribute to writing study protocols and reports.
• Present detailed scientific findings to internal and external audiences.
