Qualifications

  • Must exhibit evidence of on-going CPD.
  • Experience of out of hours duties required.
  • Familiarity with ISO15189 systems and standards needed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a quality-focused, cost-effective Blood Sciences service.
  • Practice as an HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
  • Conduct complex test procedures and report results accurately.

Skills

Competent in a broad range of specialist haem / BT and or Biochemistry practical techniques
Able to complete specialist technical problem solving
Good standard of written communication
Supervisory / training skills

Education

Accredited BSc honours degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
IBMS Specialist portfolio or equivalent professional qualification
