Overview

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is continuing its journey of digital transformation across the estate, and we are seeking a motivated BIM Officer to support the development, coordination and assurance of our Building Information Modelling (BIM) capability.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to major Trust programmes, including the Site Development Plan, Estate Development Programme, and sustainability initiatives, while working closely with experienced estates and project management professionals. The BIM Officer will support the delivery and continuous improvement of the Trust's digital estate across the full asset lifecycle. Working under the guidance of senior estates and project managers, you will assist in maintaining accurate digital models, managing high-quality asset data, and ensuring compliance with NHS digital standards and ISO 19650.

You will play a key role in coordinating digital information from design through to construction, handover and operational use, helping to embed BIM as a core part of how the Trust plans, builds and manages its estate.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing development of BIM processes and digital estate systems
  • Coordinating BIM and digital information across all project stages, including participation in BIM coordination meetings
  • Defining, managing and assuring asset data requirements to meet organisational, governance and operational needs
  • Maintaining high standards of data quality, version control, security and information governance
  • Supporting BIM Execution Plans and compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022
  • Providing clear communication of complex BIM information to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Delivering presentations and training sessions to promote BIM and digital ways of working
  • Providing first-line support for BIM software and tools, escalating issues where appropriate
  • Maintaining BIM documentation, supporting audits, validation and quality assurance processes
  • Contributing to reporting and acting as an authorised signatory for BIM-related payments where require
Qualifications
  • Experience supporting BIM or digital information management within estates, construction or infrastructure environment
  • Working knowledge of BIM standards, including ISO 19650 and NHS digital requirements
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and data quality
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A collaborative approach with the confidence to support and influence multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, information security and digital best practice
