Job description

Bid Writer Dungannon £40-45k

Our client based in Mid Ulster has an immediate requirement to recruit a Bid Writer for their commercial team.

You will be responsible for bid writing and accurate pricing for Construction bids/tenders for projects throughout Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, management, and completion tender submissions across all procurement stages.
  • Draft, write, and coordinate high-quality bid responses that clearly address client requirements
  • Monitoring and updating tender registers and compiling reports, following up on tender submissions
  • Handover of projects, following successful Bid
  • Submitting compliant tenders to meet required deadlines
  • Collating quotations to calculate materials, equipment and labour costs & pricing to maintain a competitive advantage
  • Read tender drawings including taking off quantities manually and using IT software
  • Prepare project tender summary for Board approval
  • Prepare and write compliant bids

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing construction bids
  • Strong written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Confident working independently and escalating issues when needed.
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • A high level of IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel & Word
