Job summary

Maiden Erlegh Trust is seeking a Cover Supervisor to maintain continuity of learning during teacher absence, supporting students with varied needs in a calm, safe environment. You will supervise classes, implement given work, and liaise with staff and families as required.

We value inclusive practice, safeguarding and professional development, with opportunities to engage across Trust schools and participate in MET staff learning and wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent is required.
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs is preferred.
• Ability to adapt to differing pupil needs and maintain engagement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes to maintain continuity of learning during teacher absence.
• Adapt support to meet diverse student needs, including SEMH support.
• Maintain a calm, safe classroom by applying behaviour systems consistently.
• Record information on engagement, progress and attendance and report concerns.
• Build positive relationships with students and collaborate with staff and carers.
• Support inclusion or behaviour teams during unallocated lessons and duties.
