Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Cover Supervisor for a specialist SEMH school in Corby. You will supervise lessons, deliver pre-planned work and help students stay engaged in learning.

Working in an SEMH setting, you will support students facing emotional and behavioural challenges, building positive relationships and maintaining a calm, supportive learning environment. This role suits those with education or youth-work experience and a resilient nature.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with children or young people (or similar roles).
• Interest in mental health, behaviour and education.
• Patience, resilience, and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, including those with challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons and deliver pre-prepared work.
• Support students to engage positively with learning.
• Build strong relationships with pupils and work with school staff.
• Manage behaviour according to school policies and support plans.
• Support emotional regulation and wellbeing of students.
