Do you have a calming presence and a passion for helping young people navigate life's challenges? If so, this is the role for you. We are looking for a compassionate Behaviour Mentor to work with school students in Knowsley, starting this September. This full-time, long-term position is perfect for someone who finds it rewarding to help others thrive.

Responsibilities

You will be a trusted mentor for students aged 11-16 who face social, emotional, or mental health difficulties. Your support will go beyond academics—you'll be helping them build resilience, improve self-esteem, and reconnect with their love of learning.

  • Offer consistent behavioural support to help students manage their emotions and reactions.
  • Work closely with individuals and small groups to provide targeted guidance.
  • Provide a safe space for students to regain confidence and overcome obstacles.
  • Contribute to their academic progress by assisting with catch-up work.
  • Keep thorough records to track their personal and academic journey.
Must-Haves
  • Experience: At least 6 months of experience working in a UK school.
  • DBS Check: A valid Enhanced DBS (or you must be willing to get one).
  • Work Eligibility: The legal right to work in the UK.
  • Commitment: Available for a full-time, long-term role, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
