Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth in the construction and B2B markets across the South West, South East, London, and beyond.

This field-based role requires building relationships, qualifying opportunities, and delivering profitable projects with support from Estimating, QS, and Engineering teams. You’ll visit sites and client premises, maintain a strong pipeline, and represent the business at events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in construction or related sectors.
• Proven ability to win new business and manage client relationships end‑to‑end.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to articulate technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop new relationships within construction and B2B sectors.
• Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of future projects.
• Arrange and attend face-to-face meetings with prospective clients.
• Visit construction sites, offices and client premises.
• Build relationships with main contractors, Tier 1/2 contractors, M&E and developers.
• Collaborate with Estimating to produce competitive quotations.
• Manage opportunities from enquiry to order.
• Support negotiations with QS to secure profitable deals.
• Maintain regular contact throughout tender/pre-construction.
• Keep CRM and BD pipeline up to date; report performance metrics.
• Represent the business at industry/networking events.
