Job summary

Talk Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager for the West Midlands, with a mix of Birmingham office, remote work and client visits. You will identify new business, foster strategic partnerships and drive revenue alongside operations and marketing teams.

Applicants should have a proven BD track record in construction, a strong network, and excellent English communication. A driving licence and proactive, collaborative approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Development Manager or similar within construction.
• Experience with main/ principal contractors.
• Established network in construction and public sector.
• Strong market analysis and strategic planning abilities.
• Proven track record of generating new business through prospecting and negotiations.
• Excellent English, both spoken and written.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities in West Midlands.
• Develop and implement business development strategies with regional leadership.
• Lead generation via cold calling, networking, events, and digital marketing.
• Maintain Salesforce CRM and prepare performance reports for leadership.
• Manage customer reviews and nurture existing client relationships.
• Develop and maintain industry relationships with consultants and influencers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align BD efforts with company goals.
• Coordinate with national accounts and ops teams on strategy.
