Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Battery and Generator Maintenance Manager to lead delivery and QA of maintenance for auxiliary power supplies across sites. You will ensure readiness during outages and help strengthen resilience today while developing internal capability for the future.

This hybrid role offers a base location at Hampton Coal Wharf or Reading with 36 hours per week and a salary range of £70,000–£78,500.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading operational/technical teams and developing people.
• Strong commercial judgement with contractor performance and resource planning.
• Experience managing compliance, maintenance planning and budgets.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of professionals to deliver outcomes.
• Oversee maintenance and QA for auxiliary power supplies and assets.
• Standardise inspection practices and ensure asset testing governance.
• Plan budgets and contribute to maintenance policies and best practices.
