Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Battery and Generator Contract Supervisor to safeguard power resilience across its operations. You will supervise contractor teams delivering maintenance services, ensure safety, quality and compliance, and escalate issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or coordinating contractor teams in mechanical engineering and/or maintenance.
• Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and safety standards.
• Demonstrable experience in quality checking, compliance monitoring and escalation.
• Further qualifications in contract management or asset management (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Quality and Compliance: You will check the quality of completed maintenance work, ensuring compliance with procedures, safety standards and service requirements.
• Contractor Oversight and Support: You will provide guidance and support to contractor teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Problem Solving: You will use judgement and analysis to resolve issues, elevate concerns and optimise resource use.
• Communication and Stakeholder Coordination: You will exchange information with contractors, colleagues and stakeholders with tact and diplomacy to support smooth on‑site delivery and timely issue resolution.
