Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is seeking a Battery Controls Engineer to join our ERS team in Concord, NC. You will develop robust embedded software for the HV battery management system and related components, implementing real-time control algorithms for protection, SOC, and SOH.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct MiL/SiL/HiL testing, and maintain technical documentation while adhering to safety standards for high-performance motorsport applications.

Qualifications

• Embedded software development for HV battery management systems and related components.
• Strong experience in real-time programming with C/C++ and RTOS.
• Knowledge of high‑voltage systems, CAN networks, and automotive safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain embedded software for HV battery systems in C/C++.
• Implement real-time control algorithms for protection, derating, SOC and SOH.
• Perform MiL/SiL/HiL and trackside testing with robust documentation.
• Create requirements and unit tests; ensure code quality and safety standards.
