GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC is seeking a Battery Controls Engineer to join our ERS team. You will develop and optimize embedded software for the HV battery management system, implementing real-time control algorithms for protection, state of charge, and state of health, with MiL/SiL/HiL testing and trackside support.

The role requires advanced embedded C/C++ skills, RTOS experience, and strong collaboration with controls and hardware teams; familiarity with CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet,

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in embedded software for automotive or motorsport systems.
• Experience with BMS concepts: protection, derating, state of charge, state of health.
• Strong debugging, testing, and verification skills across MiL/SiL/HiL environments.

Responsabilités

• Develop, test, and maintain embedded software in C/C++ for HV battery management and related components.
• Implement real-time data acquisition, HALs, comms, and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with controls and hardware teams to ensure cohesive system operation.
• Perform software verification including MiL/SiL/HiL tests and trackside support.
• Create robust requirements and unit tests; adhere to safety and quality standards.
