GM Performance Power Units is seeking a Battery Controls Engineer to join the ERS team in Concord, NC. You will develop and optimize embedded software for the HV battery management system, focusing on protection, SOC, and SOH in real-time environments.

You will collaborate with control strategy teams and hardware engineers, perform MiL/SiL/HiL testing, and contribute to robust, scalable code with strong documentation and compliance to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related discipline; OR Bachelor's with 5+ years in embedded software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain embedded software for HV battery management systems and related components.
• Implement real-time data acquisition, hardware abstraction layers, and diagnostics features.
• Collaborate with controls and electrical hardware teams to ensure cohesive system operation.
• Conduct MiL/SiL/HiL testing and trackside validation; support software verification and qualification.
