Job summary

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is seeking a Theatre Practitioner (Scrub/ODP) to join our bank/part-time team. You’ll work across operating theatres supporting perioperative care and patient safety.

You must be registered with HCPC or NMC, have post-registration Scrub experience, and be a team player with excellent communication.

This role offers weekend work, a competitive hourly rate up to £25, and access to our pension scheme and gym discount.

As a Scrub Practitioner/ Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our hospital, you’ll be focused, detail-oriented empathetic with great communication skills. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. With post-registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

As a Scrub Practitioner or Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will:

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital

The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
