Job summary

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is seeking a Theatre Practitioner (ODP/ scrub) to join our operating department on a part-time bank basis, with weekend shifts. You'll be registered with HCPC or NMC and bring post-registration scrub experience in a theatre environment.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, use state-of-the-art equipment, supervise junior colleagues, and deliver high-quality perioperative care. The role offers opportunities for development within a supportive hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Post-registration Scrub experience in a Theatre environment.
• Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC).
• Excellent communication and patient care qualities.

Responsibilities

As a Scrub Practitioner/ Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our hospital, you'll be focused, detail-oriented empathetic with great communication skills. You're registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. With post-registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment, you're a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital

The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
