Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is seeking a Theatre Practitioner/ODP for Scrub duties on a bank, part-time role with weekend work. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team, support perioperative care, and use advanced theatre technology.

HCPC/NMC registered candidates with post-registration scrub experience are encouraged to apply. The role offers competitive pay up to £26.50 per hour depending on experience and benefits.

As a Scrub Practitioner/ Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our hospital, you’ll be focused, detail-oriented empathetic with great communication skills.You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. With post-registration experience in Scrub roles within a Theatre environment, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

As a Scrub Practitioner or Theatre Practitioner (ODP),you will:

• Work in a multi disaplinary team covering a varied patient caseload
• Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities
• Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team
• Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting
• Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital

The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
