Job description

Overview

Bank Phlebotomist role at Waters Green Medical Centre, Macclesfield – a busy and dynamic phlebotomy service. Flexible availability to cover planned and short‑term absences on weekday and weekend sessions.

The post holder will contribute to high‑quality, patient‑centred services by taking and preparing blood samples for laboratory testing.

Main Duties

Undertake venepuncture in accordance with training and procedures, ensuring samples are stored in appropriate containers, accurately labelled, and dispatched in a timely fashion. Maintain infection prevention and control standards, record collections in patient records, notify GP practice of significant patient issues, liaise with administrative team, assist in stock control for consumables and audit clinic facilities.
