Overview

Relief Registered Nurse
Location: Burnham, Buckinghamshire, SL1 7NL
Pay rate: £24.18 per hour
Contracted hours: Relief

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the care team on shift to ensure high standards of nursing and personal care are met, providing clinical leadership and guidance where necessary.
  • Deliver, monitor, and re-evaluate care needs in partnership with each resident, their key carers, family members and the wider team at the home.
  • Liaise effectively with GPs, hospitals and external agencies.
  • Work as part of a nurturing, engaging, and rewarding environment, with opportunities for professional development.
  • Flexible hours available; casual hours can be offered to provide work-life balance—please indicate your preferences when applying.

About You
  • You will be a qualified Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse and currently registered with NMC.
  • Post-registration experience with evidence of continuing professional development; comfortable working autonomously.
  • Clear understanding of regulatory frameworks; experience of or willingness to train in: medication administration, catheterisation, end of life care, verification of death, syringe drivers, gastrostomy care, venepuncture, diabetic awareness, tissue viability, epilepsy awareness, and management of deterioration – sepsis awareness.
  • Positive role model with excellent communication skills; able to build positive working relationships. As a supportive leader, you will motivate your team to deliver the best possible care.
