A prominent healthcare facility in Bath seeks an administrative professional to support the electronic referral system. The role includes contacting patients, confirming appointments, and liaising with insurance companies for pre-authorisations. Ideal candidates will have experience in a healthcare setting, possess excellent communication skills, and be adept at managing a high-volume workload. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work in an award-winning hospital, contributing to high-quality patient care.
This position works closely to support the effective processing of our electronic referral system to ensure that patients are booked into appointments in a fast‑paced environment. It will involve contacting patients, sending letters confirming appointments and requesting scans for appointments.
You will be required to liaise with insurance companies and gain pre‑authorisations for patient procedures. There may be a need for you to support other functions within the administration service as required by the business.
The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy and data input. The skills we would expect you to demonstrate are excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organisational skills and an ability to self‑manage and prioritise a varied and high‑volume workload whilst maintaining accuracy.
If you have worked in a Healthcare environment NHS or Private and have proven experience of working successfully in a fast‑paced office environment we would like to hear from you.
