Overview

The Doncaster and Bassetlaw Children's Speech and Language Therapy Service is recruiting an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work 1 day a week in the Outpatients team and 2 days a week in the Child Development Centre at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. The role involves assessment and therapy for children aged 2 years and over, including pre‑school children with complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver independent assessment, management, treatment and advice for children and young people within Doncaster and Bassetlaw.
  • Develop and implement specialist programmes of care and treatment for individual patients with communication difficulties.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in health, social care, local authority and other agencies to meet patient needs.
  • Manage own caseload and ensure high standard therapeutic care.
  • Utilise resources efficiently and contribute to service development.
  • Ensure clinical governance is integral to service delivery.
  • Represent the Therapy Team and contribute to the wider Therapeutic Services.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified clinician in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Experience working with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
