A Vacancy at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cardiac Radiographer to join an expanding service in CMR and CTCA within Watford General Hospital for a fixed term, 9 months role.

The purpose of this post is to be an effective member of the Cardiac Radiography team, providing a high standard of cardiac radiographic service to patients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Supervision of junior staff and students, and leading a team.
• To undertake imaging examinations within the Radiology Department to the standard required by the Department of Radiology.
• Assist the Lead Radiographers in the day to day running of the Cardiac MRI and CT scanners, maintaining the high standards at all times.
• Deputise for the Superintendent / Lead Radiographers in their absence.
• Carry out monitoring procedures on equipment in the radiology Department, reporting any faults to the Superintendent Radiographer/Radiology Services Manager.
• Respond to and investigate any reports of malfunction of the CT and MRI apparatus, accessories, office equipment or computer system.
