A leading healthcare provider in Birmingham is seeking an HIV Health Advisor to deliver high standards of care and support for patients living with HIV. The Birmingham Heartlands HIV Service is well known for the delivery of a high standard of care of people living with HIV. This role presents an opportunity to become part of an exciting and passionate team as an HIV Health Advisor providing expert advice, education, and psychosocial support to patients, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Your role will be pivotal in promoting prevention, early diagnosis, treatment adherence, and holistic care, ensuring that patients receive compassionate, informed support tailored to their individual needs. We are part of the national BBV opt out testing team helping us diagnose more people with BBV, with a main focus on HIV. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting our patients through significant life changing diagnosis and helping identify anyone else who may be at risk and need testing including partners or children of our patients. Our service runs Monday to Friday with no weekend working. You will be working closely with our team of health advisers, consultants, clinical nurse specialists and community teams to support our growing cohort of patients ensuring they stay engaged with our service and receive the highest standards of care that we can provide. You will be supported with training and development within our service to ensure you receive everything you need to be part of our health advising team.
