A healthcare provider in England is seeking a part-time Microbiology Laboratory Technician for 22.5 hours per week, focused on specimen preparation and testing at their facilities. The role requires A-Level or NVQ qualifications in a science-related field and strong communicative abilities. Key duties include troubleshooting laboratory analysers and performing regular assessments while working flexibly across two hospital sites. Continuous training will be provided, ensuring smooth transition into the role.
A part‑time Microbiology Laboratory Technician (Saturday, Sunday and Monday – 22.5 hours per week) is required to join the Microbiology Department at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work primarily at Queens Hospital in Romford but will also be required to work at King George Hospital in Goodmayes as needed.
Initial training will occur on three weekdays before the candidate starts weekend duties. Ongoing training is provided both within the Trust and the Microbiology Department. The role is rotational and cross‑site between the two hospital sites.
