Job Overview

Staffline is recruiting for an amazing upskilling opportunity as a Baggage Handler/Ramp Agent to join our client at Gatwick Airport.

Pay

£15.25-£22.87 per hour.

Career Path

Start as a Baggage Handler for the first 2 months, then upskill to a Ramp Agent role. Structured career progression with increased pay after 12 months.

Hours & Shift Pattern

Full‑time roles on a rotating pattern of 5 on 3 off. Part‑time available but subject to change. Overtime may be available after working 40 hours per week. Flexibility to meet role demands is required.

Requirements
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • Physically fit – able to lift up to 25kg
  • Pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing prior to first day of training
  • DBS/5‑year referencing background checks
  • 5‑year checkable criminal history
  • Clean criminal record
Role Responsibilities
  • Consistently deliver the highest customer service at all times
  • Load and unload customers' baggage
  • Process customers' baggage using manual and automated systems
  • Ensure compliance with airline and airport policies
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times
  • Operate specialist equipment
  • Adapt to adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow or extreme temperatures to keep operations safe and efficient
