Overview

Role: Aviation Safety Advisor | Location: Teesside | Salary: £60 - £65k

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Safety Advisor to act as flight operations subject matter expert at the Teesside main operating base of an aviation business. This is a pivotal role that bridges the gap between the aviation safety team and operational delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Be the go-to flight operations subject matter expert for the Teesside operation.
  • Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and the development of safety cases.
  • Support AOC management of change activities and safety investigations.
  • Represent the company at regional and airport safety forums.
  • Contribute to safety review boards, safety action groups, occurrence review meetings, and daily risk assessment meetings.
Requirements
  • Background in operational military or civil flying, or equivalent (e.g. ATC, FC, ABM).
  • Proven experience in safety management systems and flight safety organisations.
  • Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and risk management tools.
  • Experience in safety training delivery and safety documentation development.
Additional Info
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
  • This role does not have direct reports but requires strong cross-functional collaboration.
