This role suits someone with solid hands‑on commissioning experience who enjoys solving problems on site, working closely with project teams, and building their technical expertise across a variety of modern AV technologies.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for bringing newly installed AV systems to life, making sure everything functions smoothly, meets the project brief, and is handed over professionally to the client.

  • Setting up, testing, and fine‑tuning AV and video‑conferencing systems.
  • Checking installations, identifying issues, and coordinating fixes with the wider team.
  • Carrying out configuration work both on site and at the workshop.
  • Working alongside programmers to ensure control interfaces and DSP settings meet requirements.
  • Reviewing drawings and documentation and updating technical records after commissioning.
  • Supporting clients and providing guidance during system handover and training.
  • Assisting with occasional maintenance or follow‑up visits after project completion.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience commissioning AV systems in commercial environments.
  • Strong understanding of audio/video signal flow and general networking principles.
  • Confidence troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Clear communication and a collaborative approach to working with installers, PMs, and clients.
  • A desire to continue developing your skills and industry knowledge.

Experience with DSPs or control platforms is a bonus but not essential, training and development will be provided.

Why Apply?

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than just a turn‑up and commission role. You'll get exposure to a variety of projects, modern technologies, and clients who expect high standards.

Most importantly, you'll be joining a company that invests in people. Depending on your interests, you'll have the chance to grow into:

  • Senior Commissioning
  • System Design
  • Technical Specialist (DSP / Control)
  • Project Engineering or Leadership roles

Your development path will be shaped around your strengths and ambitions.

Whats on Offer
  • Salary negotiable (DOE)
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Pension contributions
  • Laptop, phone, and all required tools
  • Support with training, accreditations, and technical progression
  • A friendly, collaborative environment with real long‑term opportunity
