Confidential in Swansea is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join its automotive team. The role offers a basic salary of £32,598 per year, rising to £33,575 after probation, with a 40-hour week from Monday to Friday and one in three Saturday mornings from 8:00 to 13:00.

Previous dealership experience is highly desirable. You will manage servicing bookings, prepare job cards, communicate costs and progress to customers, and process invoices, while maintaining excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor, ideally within a franchised dealership.

Responsabilités

• Be the first point of contact for customers with a welcoming service.
• Book vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair appointments.
• Prepare accurate job cards and workshop instructions.
• Keep customers updated on progress, costs and completion times.
• Liaise with Workshop Controllers and Vehicle Technicians to support workshop operations.
• Prepare service estimates and explain recommended repairs to customers.
• Identify opportunities to recommend additional services and necessary repairs.
• Process invoices and payments.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Maintain accurate customer records and administration.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established automotive business offering a competitive salary, a structured working pattern and long-term career prospects.

The role offers a basic salary of 32,598 per annum, rising to 33,575 following successful completion of the probationary period. Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with r ota hours between 7:00am and 6:00pm, plus one in three Saturday mornings from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Previous dealership experience is highly desirable.

Job Duties Include:

• Acting as the first point of contact for customers, providing a professional and welcoming service.
• Booking vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair appointments.
• Preparing accurate job cards and workshop instructions for technicians.
• Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process, including progress, costs and completion times.
• Liaising with Workshop Controllers and Vehicle Technicians to ensure efficient workshop operations.
• Preparing service estimates and explaining recommended repairs to customers.
• Identifying opportunities to recommend additional services and necessary repairs.
• Processing invoices and payments.
• Handling customer enquiries and resolving complaints professionally.
• Maintaining accurate customer records and completing all relevant administration.
• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat business.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, ideally within a franchised dealership.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy automotive environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure, particularly for the Cardiff location.
• Good IT, administration and customer management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• A professional, proactive and customer-focused attitude.
