Are you an enthusiastic Controls or BMS Engineer looking to build your skills and develop your career in the growing data centre industry?

Clear are working with a leading provider of automation and BMS solutions for mission‑critical environments. We’re looking for a motivated Data Centre Automation Technician to support ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and small project work within modern data centre facilities.

This is a great opportunity for someone with hands‑on experience in controls or BMS systems who wants to gain more exposure to SCADA, PLC, and Ignition‑based systems, while working alongside experienced engineers and receiving structured technical training.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of SCADA and PLC systems in data centre environments.
  • Assist in fault diagnosis and repair of Ignition‑based front‑end applications and PLC Ladder Logic.
  • Carry out basic BMS (Trend) and PLC maintenance under supervision, helping ensure system uptime and reliability.
  • Take part in site visits, surveys, and documentation tasks (e.g. recording wiring layouts, equipment details, and software versions).
  • Work closely with senior engineers to learn about system design, testing, and commissioning processes.
  • Provide professional and helpful support to clients, maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
Ideal Candidate :
  • Some hands‑on experience with BMS, SCADA, or PLC systems (e.g. Trend, Siemens, Schneider, or Allen‑Bradley).
  • Interest in learning how to configure and support Ignition SCADA systems.
  • Basic understanding of control systems, automation, or electrical engineering principles.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and occasionally work flexible hours.
  • Keen to progress technically and professionally through structured training and mentoring.
