Civil Engineering Technician (AutoCAD / MicroDrainage) — Glasgow

We are working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy who are seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join their busy Glasgow office. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a wide range of infrastructure and development projects across Scotland.

Role
  • Produce high‑quality civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Support engineers with foul and surface water drainage design, SuDS layouts, and utilities coordination.
  • Use MicroDrainage (WinDes) to model networks, run hydraulic calculations, and optimise stormwater systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Scottish Water and local authority standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and contractors in a multidisciplinary environment.
The Candidate
  • Strong AutoCAD skills (layers, xrefs, blocks, sheet sets).
  • Practical experience with MicroDrainage for drainage design.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals: levels, grading, utilities, and constructability.
  • HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Revit or Civil 3D exposure advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
